The Acey Deucy Flies Again!
100 Days or 3 months and 8 days from the day I became the owner of the Acey Deucy She took to the skies once more! Only with the help of some fricken awesome neighbors, great friends and the best wife ever was this possible! Thanks to all that helped make my dream come true! Jeff took her up and made sure all was ok and got some preliminary speed numbers. He came in for a landing and I went up with him and tried on my "new" plane. We did one more landing and went back to the hangar. With only a few minor squawks, popping landing gear which some lubricant took care of, a mushy left brake was cured with bleed job, and a new connector fixed the oil temp gauge. Jeff and I took her back up later in the afternoon and did 6 take offs and landings. By the last one I was getting the feel for it. She really flies great! I'm really impressed with the handling and the performance.
